Referoo contacts your referees by email and in most cases via SMS invite to ask them to provide a work reference for you. If we do not have the email address, in many cases, we cannot send them the request.

In order to send our a reference invite we must have the referee's permission to send it to them. In order to get this permission, we ask each candidate to contact their referees first and confirm that they would be happy to provide a reference.

When you call your referees, please also ask for an email address.

If you do not have the email address for one or more referees, please call your recruiter, although the advice you will most likely receive is to call your referee and ask them for their email address.
